A 30-year-old Lithuanian has been sentenced 13 years in prison by Larvik District Court for having participated in organized drug crime. According to the verdict, he contributed to importing more than 16 kilograms of methamphetamine.
He was also accused of having contributed to the sale of 16 kg of amphetamine, according to NRK news.
The man was charged with these crimes in connection with the “Operation Rubicon,” which was a collaboration between police in Agder, Vestfold, Østfold and Rogaland.
Larvik district court states that 30-year-old clearly was part of a set that has been doing extensive drug trafficking and that the Lithuanian has helped to lead the company from Lithuania.
This is supported in part by multiple phone and Facebook conversations with his brother, where the accused reportedly gave instructions related to the sale of drugs, according to the court.
The sentence is in line with the plea of the prosecutor .
