14 electric scooter companies want to rent e-scooters in Oslo

As many as 14 players will rent electric scooters in the capital. Oslo Municipality has decided that all such companies must apply for a permit. The deadline expired yesterday.

The Urban Environment Agency in Oslo will now review the various applications, Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) reports.

According to the plan, the scheme will enter into force at the end of August or the beginning of September.

The Municipality decided that a maximum of 8,000 electric scooters can be rented out in different zones in the city.

As of today, there are nine companies in the rental market for electric scooters in the city.
