Travel abroad is still discouraged by the government. Nevertheless, 168,000 Norwegians plan to travel abroad during the winter holidays, a recent survey shows.

The survey was conducted by YouGov on behalf of European Travel Insurance. A total of 1,005 people participated in the survey between February 3 and February 7.

Those who plan a holiday abroad during the winter holidays state that they will either go on a ski holiday or to warmer regions.

But there is still a significant risk associated with traveling around the world as the pandemic is now, European Travel Insurance warns.

“If you defy the travel advice… you will not have valid insurance for the trip,” communications manager Andreas Bibow Handeland notes.
