18 year old arrested after a stabbing in Tøyen in Oslo

An 18 year old was arrested after a man in his early 20s was stabbed in his chest when he played football on Tøyen in Oslo.

At 17.12 Saturday, Oslo police district was called by a person who reported that his friend had been stabbed on Tøyen.

It was someone who played football on the pitch, who was stabbed by one who was not playing, says operations manager Vidar Pedersen to NTB.

At 19.44 the police on wrote Twitter that they have arrested a person at the police house.

“It is an 18 year old, and he was not known to the police from before,” explains operations manager Vidar Pedersen to NTB.

The victim is a man in the early 20s.

“He’s seriously injured, but it’s not life-threatening. He will be released from the hospital during the evening,” says the operation manager.

According to the police, the emergency services quickly arrived at the site after the stabbing. The victim was treated by ambulance staff on site before being transported to the hospital
