Four 16-year-old boys died after a car drove off the road at Sundsvall in Sweden last year. The 19-year-old female driver has now been convicted of causing the accident.

The 19-year-old has been sentenced to two months in prison for causing the death of others, causing bodily injury, and for having shown gross negligence in traffic.

The district court writes that the woman drove at around 200 kilometers per hour in a 70-zone with a mobile phone in hand. In the back seat, she had four passengers without seat belts.

A total of six people were in the car when the driver drove off the road.

The incident took place at 3 o’clock on the night of May 31. The driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was in a coma for a long time after the accident.

A 14-year-old girl who was also in the car survived.
