Around 200 passengers on the cruise ship Roald Amundsen, which is currently docked in Chile, have had their luggage stolen, NRK reports.

The ship is docked in the town of Punta Arenas and will sail to Antarctica.

– Late Thursday night, a truck carrying luggage for Hurtigruten between the hotel and the airport in Santiago, Chile, was robbed. The truck was later found without its cargo; over 200 suitcases and bags, Hurtigruten communications advisor Hanne Taalesen told the channel.

The truck is owned and operated by a local company for Hurtigruten which has cooperated with for a long time. The company says they have never experienced anything like it.

None of the guests should have been involved in the incident, and none of the employees of the company have been harmed. Taalesen says Hurtigruten is now cooperating with local police on the investigation.
