2,554 People Deported this year due to Infection Control Act

3,858 people have been forcibly deported in the first eight months of the year. 2,554 were sent out in accordance with the Infection Control Act.

In August, 208 people were transported out of the country by the police, new figures from the Police Immigration Unit show.

With that, a total of 3,858 people have been sent out of the country so far this year. In the same period last year, a total of 2,723 people had been forcibly deported by the police.

Those sent out in accordance with the Infection Control Act account for 66 percent of all deported this year.

57 convicted persons were sent out of the country last month. So far this year, 646 convicts have been sent out of the country.
