29 new Coronavirus infections in the last day

29 new cases of the Coronavirus have been registered in Norway in the last 24 hours. A total of 10,611 people have now been diagnosed with Coronavirus in Norway.

The increase on Saturday is somewhat lower than the day before, when 40 new cases of infection were registered. Preliminary figures show from the National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) at midnight Sunday night.

In the last seven days, the increase has been 312 new Coronavirus cases in Norway. The week before, the increase was 334 cases. The lower rate of increase comes at the same time as more are being tested. Almost 700,000 people have now been tested for the Coronavirus in Norway. On Thursday, the number of people tested was 686,202. The proportion of positive tests is around 1.5 percent.

A total of 10,611 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus since February. About 95 percent have recovered and are healthy, according to FHI.

A total of 16 people are currently being treated in hospitals for Covid-19 disease. FHI has registered 264 Coronavirus related deaths in this country.
