Thousands of people showed up to slip and slide in a 300-meter outdoor waterslide in Oslo Saturday.
According to the organizer, between 3,000 and 4,000 children and adults purchased tickets to slide down the waterslide on Treschows street.
Power supply problems meant that the air went out of the inflatable water slide at 11 o’clock, but half an hour later the problems were fixed and play continued.
“A fuse blew. We got too much power on a course, so then had to reallocate some. We wanted to create a nice event, and now there’s a good atmosphere here again,” says project manager Morten A. Brøndmo said to news agency NTB.
The water slide has received considerable attention on Facebook, where over 100,000 people signed up to participate. Brøndmo says there were a limited number of tickets to ensure that everyone got a turn, and the event was sold out.
