The Tax Administration has now released the names of car owners who have not paid the annual fee for their vehicles. The fees have a grand total of 840 million kroner.

In February the tax authorities sent out 3.7 million claims to vehicle’s owners to pay their annual fees with a payment deadline of 21 March. Out of it have 322,000 claims still not been paid, said the Tax Administration said in a statement.
Together the annual fee provides more than 10 billion in revenue to the the state. The proportion of claims leaked, has gone up slightly from 8.4 percent in 2015 to 8.66 percent in 2016.
Those who get reminders, have either not paid the annual fee or paid the fee too late. The deadline to pay is on the 4th of May, and drivers who do not pay, risk getting the number plates removed from their car.
