The 40-year-old woman who was killed in Grue last Tuesday died of knife-related injuries. Police have seized what they believe is the murder weapon.
“The police have now received the preliminary autopsy report. The report shows that the woman died as a result of knife injuries,” police attorney Anja Ruud in the Innlandet Police District stated in a press release on Tuesday.
The police noted that they had made several seizures in the case, including what they believe is the murder weapon.
Boyfriend charged
40-year-old Lisa Iren Karlsen was found killed in her own home in Grue on Tuesday night last week. Police have charged Karlsen’s boyfriend, a 29-year-old man, with the murder.
“The accused admitted to several factual circumstances of the case, but has not taken a position on criminal guilt,” Ruud added.
The 29-year-old will be questioned again on Tuesday. The police have questioned more than 40 witnesses in the investigation so far.
