89 new cases of Coronavirus infection in Norway in the last 24 hours

At midnight Saturday, 12,858 people have tested positive and registered in Norway with the Coronavirus, preliminary figures show. This is an increase of 89 cases in the last 24 hours.

In total, the increase in the last two days is 214 reported cases, according to figures from the National Reporting System for Infectious Diseases (MSIS).

More than 940,000 coronavirus tests have so far been carried out in Norway, according to the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH).

16 Coronavirus patients are currently admitted in Norwegian hospitals as of Friday, four fewer than on Thursday. None of the Coronavirus patients are receiving treatment on a respirator.

On Friday, an elderly person with Covid-19 died at Haukeland hospital in Bergen. This is the 267th Coronavirus related death in Norway.
