9,551 registered Coronavirus cases in Norway – 83 new in the last 24 hours

9,551 cases of Coronavirus infection were registered in Norway at midnight Saturday, according to preliminary figures from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH).

This is an increase of 83 cases in the last 24 hours. In the last two days, the increase is by 142 cases.

The figures are taken from the Communicable Diseases Notification System (MSIS).

As of Friday, 15 people are hospitalized with the Coronavirus. That is one more than Thursday. There has not been a higher number of Coronavirus patients, at a time, admitted to Norwegian hospitals since July 3rd, figures from the Norwegian Directorate of Health show.

Of the 15 who are admitted, two of those patients are on respirators.

NIPH has registered 256 corona related deaths in this country.
