Shortly after being informed that he was infected with the Coronavirus, a man from Lillehammer boarded the plane to Qatar on Wednesday afternoon.

The man traveled from Lillehammer to Gardermoen, and on to Doha with Qatar Airways after being diagnosed with the Coronavirus. The airport and the police were notified only after the plane was in the air.

The police of the Eastern state posted on Twitter that a notification has been sent to Qatar about the man, and that infection control measures will be implemented there.

– The person was made aware of the test and he claimed he was going into isolation before departure, but he has chosen to ignore this. He can expect a report from the municipal chief for violations of infection control legislation, the police write.

The operations center in the Eastern police district informs NTB that no police officers at Gardermoen will be quarantined after the man’s Coronavirus journey. They believe he was not in close contact with passport controllers.

The police guard at Doha International Airport tells NTB that they can not comment on the case.
