A ferry on the Drag-Kjøpsvik connection has run aground at the ferry berth at Drag in Hamarøy.

The ferry in question is named Vadehorn.

“We are working on getting passengers and cars ashore,” CEO Torkild Torkildsen in Torghatten Nord told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK).

Operations manager Mads Bernhoft in the Nordland Police District told NTB that the incident does not appear to be dramatic.

“Something happened in connection with the ferry docking that made it go towards the shore instead of the quay,” he said.

Police are on the scene, but according to Bernhoft, the ferry does not need assistance.

“No injuries have been reported,” he added.
