A health worker in Bodø had serious side effects after being vaccinated with AstraZeneca’s corona vaccine in February, newspaper Avisa Nordland reports.

“There was a health worker here in Bodø who became very ill. It was at the end of February, before things started to happen elsewhere in the country,” municipal chief physician Tor Claudi told the newspaper.

Claudi says the health worker was not admitted to the hospital and did not have a blood clot.

Norway put vaccination with the AstraZeneca vaccine on hold in early March following reports of a rare disease in some of those who have received the vaccine.

A total of four people who have received the vaccine in Norway have died. Several of them are health workers.

No link has yet been identified between the severe cases of blood clots and the vaccine.
