A record number have failed the theory test in June. Numbers show that more than a third of theory tests did not pass, and now the Norwegian Public Roads Administration fears extra long queues .
8,482 of 23,205 have failed the theory test in June. There has never been so many theory tests carried out in a month.
The Norwegian Public Roads Administration wrote in a press release that the failure percentage is high and in total this year it is 39 percent. For June, the numbers are at 37 percent.
-” If more had passed the theory test, we would not have a queue to take the theory test. Our employees are working both evening and weekends to keep up with the demand after being closed earlier this year because of Corona. It is very unfortunate that so many candidates came unprepared.”, said the acting Department Director, Jan Erik Myhr, of the Norwegian Public Roads Authority.
