A lot of people are rebooking tickets due to the new travel advice from the Danish and Norwegian governments

Following new travel advice from the Danish and Norwegian governments, Color Line has registered a large increase in the rebooking of tickets.

Normally, the joint holiday is high season for the Danish Color Line boat, but after changes in both Norwegian and Danish travel advice, the company has registered a notable increase in rebookings, E24 writes.

On Monday, the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs updated its travel advice, advising against all unnecessary travel to Norway on the basis of strict entry restrictions.

Shortly afterward, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Norway updated its infection map and marked Denmark “red.”

Flexible tickets

“It is too early to say anything about the number of rebookings and cancellations, but we have planned to sell a lot of flexible tickets, which makes it easy for the customer to rebook to other dates,” sales and marketing manager Nina Moland Andersen told E24.

Under the new rules, travelers from Denmark to Norway must submit a negative PCR test, retest at the border, fill in an entry form that is checked at the border, and carry out the entry quarantine.

“Many are in holiday mode and will go through with their holiday despite the new travel advice,” Andersen said.

“We do not know how long this will last and hope Denmark will soon be ‘green’ again.”
