A 60-year-old man from Nordmøre lost his life after falling 100 meters from Bruraskaret on Trollveggen in Møre og Romsdal Friday afternoon.

The police reported about the accident at 16:00 on Friday.

An air ambulance found the man, but could not get him out, therefore a rescue helicopter was called and it arrived at 17:00. The man was rescued about an hour later according to the requirements of time.

At 21.47, the police confirmed on Twitter that the man had died.

According to Aftenposten, the 60-year-old had fallen from Bruraskaret, on the back side of Trollveggen, and not down the wall itself. VG writes that the man was a part of a tour when the accident occurred, and it was the tour group that reported the accident to the police.

Earlier this week a woman fell in the same area and sustained serious injuries.
