A man in his 50s is said to have used a hammer to damage several vehicles in a parking garage on Tjuvholmen in Oslo on Thursday night. Five cars were damaged.

At 7:36 AM, the police reported that the perpetrator had been arrested.

The police in Oslo reported the incident just before 6 o’clock. They were notified by security guards on the spot.

According to newspaper VG, the man is also said to have gotten into a car, and the police suspect that he has broken the quarantine rules for infection control.

“We have to interrogate the person, but at the moment, it seems there’s quite a lot of pointless damage to many cars,” Gjermund Stokkli at Oslo police noted, adding that the damages probably amount to many thousands of kroner.
