A man threatened with a knife and took a small amount of money from McDonald’s in Storgata in central Oslo on Sunday morning. They are searching the area for the man.

It was just before 09:30 that the police received the report of the robbery.

– “A person came in and threatened the employees with a knife. They gave him the money from a register and he fled the scene,” says operations manager Tor Grøttum in the Oslo police district to NTB.

According to the police, the man is described as between 25 and 30 years old, light-skinned, and wearing red shoes and a dark hoodie with a white stripe on the arms. The man received a small amount of money.

Grøttum states that there were six guests present in the restaurant when the robbery took place. They are being questioned by the police.

– “The person threatened with the knife, but did not use it actively. No one is physically injured, but it was still a bad experience,” says the operations manager.
