The European Medicines Agency (EMA) will consider a possible approval of the corona vaccine produced by the French company Sanofi Pasteur.

EMA has started a so-called ongoing assessment of the French Vidprevtyn vaccine, the agency wrote on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon.

If the vaccine ends up being approved, it will be used in the EU and Norway. The news is gratifying, according to the Norwegian Medicines Agency.

“Considering what may happen in the future, it will be a great advantage to have as many different vaccines available,” medical director Steinar Madsen in the Norwegian Medicines Agency told newspaper VG.
