A total of 135,449 Norwegians have received the first dose of the corona vaccine

A total of 135,449 people have been vaccinated with the first dose of the corona vaccine in Norway, the National Institute of Public Health’s (FHI) statistics show on Thursday. Furthermore, 30,066 people have received the second dose.

On Wednesday, 22,041 people received their first dose, while 6,858 people received the second dose, according to the FHI.

Most have received the first dose in Viken (28,111) and Oslo (18,954). The fewest doses were administered in Troms and Finnmark (5,820) and Møre og Romsdal (6,261). 

Most people have been given the second dose in the counties of Viken (6,457) and Vestland (3,683).

The first coronavirus vaccine in Norway – the one produced by Pfizer and BioNTech – was administered on December 27. On January 15, the first dose of the Moderna vaccine was administered.
