A total of 692 new corona infection cases have been registered in Norway in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 692 corona infection cases have been registered in Norway. That is 52 more than the day before and 230 more than the same day last week.

As of midnight on Sunday night, a total of 98,102 corona-infected people have been registered in the country since February last year, according to preliminary figures from the National Reporting System for Infectious Diseases (MSIS).

In Oslo, 192 new corona cases have been registered in the last 24 hours – 40 fewer cases than the previous day.

In the last seven days, a total of 5,633 new infection cases have been registered in Norway. 4.6 million corona tests have so far been performed in the country.

A total of 699,089 people received the first dose of the corona vaccine, and 283,835 people received the second dose.

On Saturday, 306 corona patients were hospitalized – 17 more than the day before.

A total of 673 corona-infected people have died in Norway since March 2020, preliminary figures show. It is not always possible to establish whether the patients died of or with COVID-19.
