Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed gets the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize.

The award was announced by the Nobel Committee Chair Berit Reiss-Andersen at the Norwegian Nobel Institute’s premises on Friday at 11am.

There were 301 candidates nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize this year – 223 people and 78 organizations.
