Afghanistan’s former Minister of Oil and Minerals, Nargis Nehan, is among the many people who have been evacuated to Norway, according to Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK).

Nehan wrote on Twitter that she landed in Norway with her family but that her father and sister are still in Afghanistan.

“I can not stop my tears for my people and country,” she wrote.

Nehan was a minister in the government of former President Ashraf Ghani. Ghani fled to the United Arab Emirates when the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan.
