A total of eleven flights in Norway were affected by the strike on Tuesday morning. This applies to five round trips with Norwegian and one flight with Widerøe.

“We have canceled five round trips from Gardermoen today as a result of the aircraft engineer strike,” Norwegian’s press officer, Andreas Hjørnholm, told the newspaper Dagbladet/Børsen.

The flights that have been canceled were to return to London, Alicante, Copenhagen, Edinburgh, and Murcia in Spain, i.e., a total of ten flights.

Widerøe told the newspaper that they canceled one flight that was to start in Tromsø and fly to Alta, Kirkenes, and Vadsø before returning to Tromsø.

“We had delays and cancellations yesterday. Today, one flight has been canceled – the one from Tromsø, via Alta to Kirkenes and on to Vadsø, then back to Tromsø,” communications manager in Widerøe Catharina Solli told the newspaper.

SAS announced on Tuesday morning that they have not yet had to cancel any flights.
