Avinor stopped all air traffic at Sola Airport in Stavanger and at Flesland in Bergen due to the storm.

“We’re experiencing technical problems as a result of the storm. We have stopped air traffic for safety reasons since safety is the highest priority at our airports. We are following this closely,” press officer Anna Langhammer in Avinor told TV 2 in relation to the air traffic status in Stavanger.

Air traffic in Bergen has also been stopped as a result of the strong wind, Langhammer informed the newspaper Dagbladet.

The storm has created challenges for several planes that were to land in Bergen on Sunday night. Two planes were redirected to other airports.
