Andøy cabin fire: Police are still searching for the five missing people

The search for the missing people after the fire in Andøy resumed at 10 o’clock on Sunday morning.

Forensic technicians started work on the fire site at 10 o’clock, Nordland Police District wrote on Twitter. 

Crime technicians from the National Criminal Investigation Service (Kripos) and local police are conducting the search.

There were six people in the cabin at the time of the fire. One man managed to get out. He is currently admitted to Nordland Hospital Vesterålen in Stokmarknes. 

The other five, four of whom are children under 16, are still missing.

The emergency services were notified of the fire at 4:30 AM on Saturday.
