Due to the war in Ukraine, the heating season in Kyiv will end on Monday, by order of the local military administration.

Apartments and commercial buildings would no longer be heated. Schools, kindergartens, hospitals, and cultural institutions will be closed in consultation with their boards, according to the order.

Temperatures of 1 to 3 degrees Celsius are expected in the capital of Ukraine in the coming nights. The heating season in the district heating network usually ends in mid-April.

The city administration points out that the infrastructure in the city works despite the war.

Work is done around the clock to repair damage to electricity, heating, and water networks.
