A 28-year-old man from Arendal has been charged with violence, driving under the influence, illegal possession of a weapon, and attempted murder of three people.

In June 2020, the then 26-year-old man shot three people with a shotgun at a party in Arendal, according to the newspaper Agderposten.

“Nobody is looking forward to such a trial… He’s looking forward to having the case processed and putting this sad case behind him,” the man’s lawyer Johannes Wegner Mæland told the newspaper.

He told Agderposten in January that the accused 28-year-old admits guilt.

“There is no doubt that he is the one who shot (the people),” Mæland said.
