Around 160,000 Norwegians downloaded the new Smittestopp corona app

As of December 23, the new infection control app has been downloaded 158,700 times. A total of 41 people have reported that they are infected via the app.

The information was revealed in the National Institute of Public Health’s (FHI) overview on Wednesday. 

The app was launched on December 21.

On Tuesday, 18 people registered that they were infected via the app. The day before, the number was 23.

Others who have been in the vicinity of the infected were be notified via their mobile phone.

Those who are notified of an infection via the app don’t have to go into quarantine, but it is recommended that they test themselves and stay at home until they get test results.
