Around 200 Tax Free employees in Norway will soon return to work

TRN Norway will have 200 laid-off employees return to work by the end of March, according to FriFagbevegelse.

Travel activity is expected to increase after the Norwegian government removed most of the corona measures on Tuesday – that is why Travel Retail Norway (TRN), which operates the duty-free shops at the airports at Gardermoen, Værnes, Flesland, Sola, and Kjevik, is now bringing back 200 laid-off employees.

Since March 2020, most of the 1,100 employees in TRN have been laid off.

“It has been a difficult time for all members, the company, and us shop stewards. As a shop steward, I am especially happy that we have gotten through this pandemic without having to resort to redundancies,” Rozina Nazar stated.
