Around ten people abused a system error in Drammen to get the corona vaccine: “I am shocked”
Up to Sunday, anyone with a link to the registration form could book an appointment for corona vaccination in Drammen. About ten people took advantage of the error and got vaccinated.
The error was corrected on Sunday, newspaper VG writes.
“We are aware that about ten people had booked appointments and been vaccinated before it was their turn to do so because it was technically possible to book an appointment in the Health Book app,” Madli Indseth, business manager for medical activities in Drammen Municipality, to the newspaper.
In addition, a few people booked an appointment for the coming week. The appointments have been canceled.
“Shocked”
FHI chief physician Preben Aavitsland is angry at those who sneaked into the vaccine queue.
“I am shocked that some actually sneak into the vaccine queue. Those who are now at the forefront of that queue include cancer patients, people with Down syndrome or cerebral palsy, and people with severe ALS or MS. If some young, healthy people think they have the right to sneak in front of them in the queue, I would like to have a serious chat with them,” he says.
Drammen is vaccinating the age group 65 to 74 years and other, younger adults with underlying diseases.
The error was discovered on Wednesday. Since few people had taken advantage of the error, the plan was to correct it after Easter, but it was corrected already on Sunday when VG contacted the Municipality.
