From Monday morning at 9:15, no Russian aircraft are allowed to fly through Norwegian airspace, the newspaper Dagbladet reports.

On Sunday, it was decided that the airspace would be closed to Russian aircraft in large parts of Europe, including Norway. On Monday, the ban came into force.

As of 9:15 AM, a formal ban was introduced for Russian flights over Norwegian airspace.

Flights made before that time are not to be regarded as violations of Norwegian airspace, director of communications and public relations Håvard Vikheim at the Civil Aviation Authority told Dagbladet.
