Following recommendations from national health authorities, the mayors of Asker and Bærum are closing gyms and pubs.
Bærum mayor Lisbeth Hammer Krog and Asker mayor Lene Conradi confirmed the news in a press release on Wednesday morning.
“After receiving a clear recommendation from the health authorities, we recommend closing gyms and places that serve alcohol with immediate effect.
“We see that keeping gyms and places that serve alcohol open means that we are not able to live up to the most important thing now – staying home as much as possible,” they said in the press release.
Both municipalities are set to pass the relevant local regulation as soon as possible.
