The mayors of Asker and Bærum announced on Tuesday afternoon that they would open shopping centers from Thursday. Asker will also allow alcohol serving, among other things.

“As the removal of the ‘ring’ corona measures has been declared, we believe that the shopping centers can reopen,” Bærum’s Mayor Lisbeth Hammer Krog (H) told newspaper Budstikka.

Asker and Bærum have been affected by the government’s extra regional measures implemented on January 23 to eliminate the mutated coronavirus in Nordre Follo.

Mayor Lene Conradi (H) in Asker Municipality interprets the government’s decision in the same way as Hammer Krog.

The Municipality will lower the level of measures to the level of national rules, which means that they will, among other things, allow the serving of alcohol in nightclubs and restaurants.

Bærum Municipality still has local regulations that are somewhat stricter.
