The Norwegian Food Safety Authority and the police found over 60 dead animals during an unannounced inspection of a farm in Sør-Troms. The police describe the case as serious.

The inspection was carried out on Thursday, May 20, after the discovery of two dead animals, Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) writes.

“At least 60 dead sheep have been found, both sheep and lambs. We have opened a case,” prosecutor Trude Kvanli in Troms Police District said. The farmer has not yet been charged.

Recently, a farmer had to appear in court after more than 80 dead sheep and several barely alive sheep were found on a farm in Målselv.
