The Ullensaker municipality has decided to introduce a face mask requirement at Oslo Airport in situations where it is impossible to maintain a distance of one meter from others.

The measure will enter into force immediately.

The airport has already started preparing information about the new regulations for travelers, according to website Flysmart 24.

The decision was made after an extraordinary meeting in Ullensaker municipality on Wednesday, as a result of the Oslo municipality tightening up its anti-corona measures on Monday.

Avinor, Norway’s state-owned company that operates most of the civil airports in the country, has noted that stricter requirements for the use of face masks also include the premises at Oslo Airport where congestion occurs.
