On Friday, fully vaccinated travelers will be released from entry quarantines, and Avinor is getting ready for increased traffic and long queues at the airports.

“We expect queues and occasionally very long waiting times at Avinor airports in the future,” Avinor wrote in a press release on Thursday morning, according to TV 2.

Fully vaccinated people and those who have had coronavirus in the last six months will be released from the entry quarantine from Friday at 3 PM if they have been abroad. The prerequisite is that they take a negative corona test upon arrival in Norway.

Avinor believes that the biggest challenges will be at Norway’s largest airport, Oslo Airport, but there may also be challenges at other airports with international traffic.

The traffic will likely occur due to the current testing regime, comprehensive border control, document control, requirements for infection control, and other government requirements.
