Avinor reports 260% increase in travelers in March

Nearly 3.3 million passengers traveled to, from, or via Avinor’s airports in March this year. That is an increase of 260% compared to March of 2021.

Although the number of passengers at Avinor’s airports is significantly up after the corona pandemic, the figure for March is still 29% lower than in the corresponding period in 2019.

“Traffic continues to recover, and it is clear that the desire to travel in society is definitely present,” director of traffic development Gaute Skallerud Riise in Avinor stated.

Foreign travel registered the greatest growth in March.
