The authorities in Bærum Municipality have decided to remove the local corona regulations.

Bærum will now only follow the national infection control rules, newspaper Budstikka writes.

That means that Bærum will have almost the same rules as the neighboring municipalities of Asker and Oslo. Asker removed its local regulations Tuesday night.

Instead of the mandatory use of face masks, a recommendation is now being introduced for places where people cannot keep a distance of one meter.

The infection situation in the Municipality is far better now than a few weeks ago. According to municipal chief physician Frantz Leonard Nilsen, the vast majority of those under risk are protected, and the consequences of a possible new outbreak will likely be limited.
