Bane NOR: The train section between Tønsberg and Larvik will probably be closed for at least one week
The train section between Tønsberg and Larvik will probably be closed for at least one week due to lightning strikes and fires, Bane Nor told news bureau NTB on Wednesday.
Several fires were reported at Sandefjord station and several places along the line on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Bane NOR announced that a new update on the situation could be expected on Wednesday, August 2, at noon.
“It will probably be closed for a whole week. This is demanding and long-term work. There are a lot of components that need to be replaced,” press officer Britt-Johanne Wang at Bane NOR told NTB.
