The Minister of Health, Bent Høie, discourages people from house parties after multiple instances of party noise around the country this weekend.

-”Don’t do it! These types of house parties, with many people and a lot of alcohol, it is difficult to hold the one-meter-rule. I hope people leave.”, he says to Aftenposten.

The fact that the serving of alcohol stops three hours earlier than before, does not seem to give quieter nights for the police. Across the country, the police have reported party rackets and disturbances throughout the night. In Oslo, the police received complaints of about 60 parties Sunday evening Saturday evening saw large gatherings at Torgallmenningen in Bergen.

-”It is reminiscent of Magaluf.”, said the Police Operations Manager.

Høie defends the stop of alcohol serving

-”There is every reason to believe that the sum of all the partying is less than if the stoppage of alcohol serving was not introduced. There are significantly less people.”, he says.
