A total of 20 new cases of corona infection have been registered in Bergen in the last 24 hours. Nine of the infected are close contacts.

Two cases of infection are imported, six have an unknown route of infection, and three have not been clarified. A total of 1346 people tested themselves on Tuesday, the newspaper Bergens Tidende writes.

Infection control doctor Egil Bovim in Bergen Municipality is following the situation closely.

“Infection tracing shows that there are different routes of infection, and good work is being done with infection tracking and following-up of the cases of infection that have been discovered.

“The most important measure now is that people remember to follow the infection control advice now during the holiday season since increased mobility also increases the risk of infection,” Bovim noted in a press release.
