A total of 25 new corona cases have been registered in Bergen on Wednesday. That is seven cases fewer than the average for the previous seven days.

“Infection rates have not been increasing in recent days but are persistently at an undesirably high level.

“We are still completely dependent on everyone following the current rules, and recommendations to avoid a third wave of infection in Bergen,” medical director Trond Egil Hansen noted in a press release.

Three cases are cases of imported infections, while 15 are close contacts. Four have an unknown route of transmission, and three have an uncertain route of transmission.

On Wednesday, Bergen reopened fitness centers for people who live in Bergen Municipality and some others.

The R-number in Vestland county has increased to 1.9, according to the weekly report from the National Institute of Public Health (FHI).
