Bergen: 29 new coronavirus cases registered

A total of 29 new corona-infected people have been registered in Bergen in the last 24 hours. 

That is six more than the average of the previous seven days.

Twenty cases are close contacts, four have an unknown route of infection, while five have an uncertain route of infection, Bergen Municipality stated.

The infected persons are in the following age groups: 1 (0-6 years), 4 (6 -12 years), 12 (20-29 years), 6 (30-39 years), 4 (40-49 years), 1 ( 70-79 years), and 1 (80-89 years).

On the same day last week, eleven cases of infection were registered.

The Municipality has also been notified of 58 new cases of mutated viruses – the British variant.

On Friday, 3,096 people were tested in Bergen. A total of 5,064 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus in the Municipality since the pandemic started in March of 2020.
