A total of 39 new coronavirus infection cases have been registered in Bergen.
For six of them, the route of transmission is unknown, and seven have an uncertain route of transmission.
Out of the total, 25 are close contacts, according to the Municipality’s overview on Tuesday morning. One of the infected is aged 6–12 years.
A total of 5,203 people in Bergen tested positive for the coronavirus since the pandemic started in March of 2020.
The R-number, which indicates how many other people one corona-infected person infects on average, is now calculated at 1.3 for the Bergen Hospital Trust region, Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) reports.
That is an increase from 1.2 last week.
