Bergen: Sports judge sentenced to five and a half years of prison for sexual abuse of children
A sports judge in his late 20s has been sentenced in Bergen District Court to five years and six months in prison for, among other things, sexual intercourse with children.
The man also has to pay compensation to the victims, lawyer Tom-Daniel Karlstad informed newspaper Nettavisen.
“A reparation compensation will, of course, never redo or repair what the victims were exposed to, but it is a discretionary patch on the wound determined by the court,” the lawyer said.
In court, the man said he regretted his actions several times.
“It is terrible to sit here and know what one has done,” the man said.
