Bergen Municipality will temporarily stop drop-in vaccinations from December 6. Therefore, people who want to get the corona vaccine will have to book an appointment once again.

“Appointments are more efficient and predictable. Drop-in has led to long queues and does not provide optimal utilization of our vaccine capacity now,” Elisabeth Engelsen, head of vaccination in Bergen Municipality, stated.

The Municipality is expanding its vaccination offer by offering appointments in both Sentralbadet and Åsanehallen.

From week 50, the Municipality will offer booster doses to some of its residents, including people between 45 and 64 years. Before that time, the Municipality will prioritize giving booster doses to residents over the age of 65. The administration of the first and second dose to people who have not yet been fully vaccinated will also be prioritized.
